Everyone is has a strength or strengths.

A strength is something you’re good at, and is something that is learned and developed over time, whereas talent is something you’re born with.

So what are you good at, what do you like to do and what is your strength?? Some of us never really develop our strengths because we never stop to realize what they are.

While some of us try to be good at everything which leads us to the saying “Jack of all trades and Master of none”. Which is OK if you want to do everything and not be good at any of it.

But it’s even more OK to be really good at something or some things and not good at the rest, even my 7 year old son Sam even says (verbatim) “You’re not good at evrything gust something”.

So relax and find your strengths and develop them even if it’s only one…and forget about being good in the rest.

Osteoporosis is a demineralization of the bone, mostly with respect to calcium. It results in less bone density and makes one susceptible to fracture.

Many people can over come this by understanding it’s cause.

Wolff’s Law is explained as “bone will remodel itself over time to become stronger in response to the stresses put upon it, and conversely, if the load or stress on the bone decreases, the bone will become weaker as the strength is not needed”.

Examples are a Pro tennis players bones in the forearm show up to 50% more bone density than the non-racket holding arm, and the opposite is true for astronauts which are in space in a weightless environment (no gravity), the bone looses it’s density and strength.

In the population, most cases of osteoporosis are in the aging. For the most part it is a result of decreased movement or exercise. To supplement calcium only, will not reverse the condition as the calcium will not be transported to the bone if there is no stress put upon it.

To help reverse the effects of osteoporosis, systematically increase movement and exercise as you increase calcium rich foods in your diet such as dark green vegetables.

It’s something we need to do.

We can go without food for weeks, water maybe days and without air…most likely not more than about 2 minutes.

Yes, it’s pretty important…nearly all functions of our body, down to the cellular level are aerobic, meaning they need oxygen.

Yet, in our daily routine, most of us just sit and move less than the past which brings our respiration to a very shallow level, giving us just the minimum amount of oxygen in order to survive but not thrive.

Breathing more deeply will not only allow our body to function better, but oxygen is also an antiseptic. Will you take this challenge?: Breathe deep 10 times s-l-o-w-l-y in and out and if you have the patience to finish 10 deep breathes – see how you feel…you may want to put it in your daily health routine:)

Many times we tend to focus on the situation or person without regard to the whole picture.

I even catch myself at times…as well as people I coach. One of the main topics I come in contact with are challenges with family members.

For instance, the parents get all lathered up because their teenager is acting up, doing this and that…but looking at the whole picture reveals that they are just a teenager, doing what teenagers do.

Not meaning that you need to ignore, allow or put up with actions that are not to be tolerated, it’s just the way teenagers act. If you really think back, you probably weren’t a gem in your teenage years either. So looking at the whole picture may help you to see things as they really are and give you the patience to act or respond in a different manner.

Truth be told , it doesn’t! Some days you can just limp through, and that’s OK form time to time, but YOU are the one standing between a regular day and a Special Day.

How??…YOUR ATTITUDE & YOUR CHOICE… Why not dress up a little or wear your most comfortable outfit, do you hair different, smile at everyone you come in contact with, give everyone a compliment, feel the sunshine dancing on your skin.

Choose how special the day is going to be and then do your part to make it that way.
Today is the best day of my life…Why…Because I’m going to make it that way!

Too many times we are quick to judge and we find it easier to see faults and quirks in people and make fun of them without thinking about them as a person with a family and a life.

So instead of jumping to conclusions and start making fun, we should save our energy and direct it to getting to know the person, so that we can have fun with them!!

Here’s the deal:

Regular soft drinks contain large amounts of HFCS – High Frustose Corn Syrup, which impairs the feedback loop to your brain, resulting in you not being able to tell that you are full.

This explains some of the people I coach that drink up to 12 regular sodas a day, and want to cut down….I’ve challenged them to drink the same amount only with water…they can’t come close to the 12 soda amount…they get full.

Diet soft drinks contain artificial sweeteners which have little or no calories yet they tell your body that it has ingested something sweet, and since real sweets come with calories, you will end up searching for calories that were promised and not delivered and overeat in other areas.

So….With regular sodas you drink a lot of calories and can’t tell you’re full whereas with diet sodas you don’t drink the calories, you find them somewhere else. What’s the solution?? You know… Moderation:)

“Giving” is the only word that is on 2 lists, one list being Positive and the other being Negative:

1. Love, gratitude, hope, dreams, passion, GIVING, etc.
2. Hate, anger, resentment, jealousy, contempt, GIVING, etc.

Many people I coach have a challenge with giving too much…time, money, emotion etc. until they feel there is nothing left.

So you can give which is positive or give too much which can be negative. The way around this and to remain “Whole” is that you can “Understand” instead of “Give” for those who seem to continually take and take.

This strategy is not meant to be mean spirited or selfish, it’s to keep you “Whole”, after all, if there is nothing left…there’s nothing left to give.

In life, we often focus on what we are doing or the task at hand, and occasionally stop and look around but rarely do we see.

The things that we take for granted are the very things we like otherwise they wouldn’t be around us.
Understanding that we have created the things around us and we allow them to stay near, we may want to pay a little more attention to those things, because if they are not recognized or acknowledged, those things
may somehow disappear.

My 14 year old daughter Victoria says it well…”Always appreciate the littlest things in life because you never know what you could lose that’s so precious to you, in the blink of an eye”.

“One” can be a numeral or an individual…The numeral “1″ is the smallest positive whole number yet it can have remarkable results and turn the ordinary into extra ordinary.

It can be that “One” tenth of a second in a foot race or the “One” less stroke in a golf match or that “One”
hundredth of a second in a horse race, all separating The “Winner” from the rest.

In using “One” as an individual, it can be that YOU are the “One” which makes that extra effort in your relationships, it is YOU which gives that “One” more positive thought for the day. It is YOU which helps the world out by adding that “One” thing which can better it.

Whether The Power of “One” is used as the numeral or an individual, it IS what expands your life, and you can do this simply by remembering and implementing “The Power of One”.
